Abeeco bee venom mask

Lets see what abeeco has to say about their bee venom mask.

“Bee venom masks have been touted as being a natural alternative to botox and are reportedly used by a number of high profile celebrities. The combination of natural ingredients (including the very best NZ Bee venom & Manuka honey) work in synergy to keep you looking your youthful best.

Until recently Bee venom masks have only been available in the UK using bee venom imported from New Zealand. Abeeco are now able to offer this quality product direct from New Zealand using New Zealands rare and pure local Bee venom and Manuka honey. Abeeco have been a trusted New Zealand brand for over 20 years and have great experience working with and developing amazing and effective natural products with the help of our beautiful bees.

The Bee venom contained in this product is used to fool the skin into thinking it has been lightly stung. This in turn stimulates the production of the naturally occurring chemicals collagen and elastin, thereby creating a tightening and smoothing effect. The effects are cumulative, that is, the longer you use it the more obvious the effects will be. A slight tautening effect can generally be felt soon after application.”

My take on the abeeco bee venom mask

thebeautymascot/ bee venom mask

As I said earlier I have been curious to know if the bee venom mask really works. I was also concerned about my skin being allergic to bee venom. I really feared  I would wake up to see my face turned red! So first and foremost thing, before applying the bee venom mask on your face, do a patch test. If in any way, you are allergic to bee stings, please stay away from the bee venom mask.

The bee venom mask can be used as a mask or as a night cream. I have tried both methods and I found both ways had different results on skin. So let me start with the results when using abeeco bee venom mask as a mask. How I did this was, I applied the bee venom mask on my face and neck and kept it for 20 minutes. Later washed this off. I did this for some 4-5 days on row. After doing so, I noticed my skin definitely felt soft and smooth. Just an average result I thought . Then I began to use the bee venom mask as a night cream. This is when my opinion about the abeeco bee venom mask changed. I have been applying the mask for 2 weeks now and the results are amazing. Since we have winter here, my skin is on the drier side now. Extremely dry, I must say. Have been trying out different moisturizers and oils, to moisturize the otherwise dry skin. But now I am glad I found this. This has definitely moisturized my skin. My skin felt smooth, soft and moisturized after the first application itself.

My final verdict

In love

This product is a great one. I like the fact that the bee venom masks uses some of the fine ingredients like manuka honey, shea and cocoa butters ,antioxidants and some great oils. This is a great moisturizing one, which plumps up your skin. My skin has definitely felt firm and tight. When it comes to pores, it has not shown any visible results so far. Abeeco also claims that the bee venom mask reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. To be honest, I don’t have much visible lines or wrinkles on my face, but has helped in diminishing the not-so visible lines.

Not in love

The few negative points which I can point out about the abeeco bee venom mask is one, it has a not-so pleasant smell, which some might hate. Secondly some might be allergic to the bee venom product.

So overall, I really like this product. It had made my skin soft, supple and very hydrated. I am not sure if the product lives up to the claim of being a botox in a pot, but definitely a must try as it makes your skin smooth, moisturized and younger looking. I am rating this product  4♥♥♥♥/5. (-1 for not showing any visible results on my pores as claimed)

Disclaimer: I have used a sample product, but will definitely purchase the bee venom mask again.

Important: Do a patch test. This product is a no-no for people who are allergic to bee stings and might not be good for people with sensitive skin. I have seen no results when used small amount. So you have to use a generous amount for better results.
