If you have read my last post about the products I got from Kiko stores (my haul post here), you know I have mentioned about the invisible powder. So many of you have asked me to review the invisible powder and here I am with my review. I love such translucent powders for the fact that they do not give any extra coverage or in general, does not have any pigment in it. I know most of you prefer it these days! As the sole purpose of such transparent powders is to mattify and set your makeup. So let’s see how well the Kiko Milano invisible powder does its job.
Kiko Milano invisible powder product claims
Setting and mattifying face powder that banishes shiny areas from the skin.
It creates a sheer veil with a matte finish. The product adheres perfectly to the skin and bestows a delicate and lightweight “second-skin” effect upon the face. It is soft and velvety to the touch. The powder is easy to apply using the soft sponge that’s attached inside the lid.
Ideal for all skin types, especially shiny and/or oily skin. The powder is also perfect for quick touch-ups throughout the day. Non-drying for the skin.
Price and availability
$19 (69 AED) for 13.5g. Available at all Kiko stores and online

My take on the Kiko Milano Invisible powder
The packaging is something I love. It comes in a beautiful white jar with the name written in black. The ingredients and other details are written on the outer black box. Now, the first time I used this product I was running late for an event and I closed the lid and put it inside my bag and left. Later when I checked I found that half of the product was wasted as the lid came out and the powder spilled all over. This happens with most translucent powders. But no, it’s not the packaging, it’s me! The genius me failed to find out that the lid has a twist and lock mechanism, you just have to twist the lid to the lock position. Obviously, I didn’t. So you please take care of that! The lid stays tight and you can carry this powder wherever you go with ease, hence travel-friendly.
When it is clearly mentioned!
The lid has an attached sponge, which I agree, is convenient. But I prefer using a powder brush as the sponge that comes along with the powder picks too much powder than what is needed and you need only a small amount unless you are baking.
It has a fragrance which I could not understand what it was, not very pleasant but still okay. The fragrance disappears after a few minutes so that should not be an issue.
Talking about the texture, the powder is so finely milled and so soft. When applied on my skin, it does not look powdery at all. It mattifies my skin but still manages to give a velvety finish, true to its claims. I absolutely love how beautiful it makes my skin look and feel. It does not leave any white cast when photographed, the skin looks beautiful.
But…yes there is a but…the Kiko Milano invisible powder might leave your skin dry if you have dry skin, most probably if you have extremely dry skin. For oily and combination skin, this one works like a magic but for dry skin, I fear it will dry out your skin especially if you are baking. Since this is winter, my skin sometimes is so dry, but with proper moisturizing, this works fine. But if I use this for baking and especially if I have dry patches this sometimes exaggerates the flakiness. But otherwise, the powder works fine when baking too.
It stays for about 5-6 hours, then small traces of oil starts to peep out. This can be easily fixed by blotting, though. Touch ups are also very easy using this powder.
I love how soft my skin feels after applying this powder. The Kiko Milano invisible powder is paraben-free, non-comedogenic and dermatologically tested. So I am definitely loving this powder.
Overall
In love with:
Packaging is beautiful and travel-friendly.
Soft and finely milled powder.
Mattifies your skin and keeps your makeup in place. Gives a velvety finish.
Stays for about 5-6 hours.
Only a very small amount is required, hence will last long.
Paraben-free, non-comedogenic and dermatologically tested.
Photographs well.
Not in love with:
Might not be great for dry skin as this powder might dry out your skin.
Might exaggerate dry patches on the skin.
Overall, this powder is great for oily and combination skin as it not just mattify your skin and keeps your makeup in place but also leaves your skin looking soft and velvety (that’s my favorite part!) But for beauties with dry skin, this might not be the right choice. I give it 4.5/5 and I highly recommend this to all the gorgeous ladies with oily/combination skin.
