PIMPLE TREATMENT FACE MASK

pimple treatment face mask

Hello, my gorgeous friends! How are you all?

Today we are going to talk about a face mask and I am sure you will love it. Before we even start talking about the face mask, let me share a small story with you guys, please don’t worry, its short.

So what happened is, one day I was preparing chicken curry and for that, I was making a paste out of a few ingredients. Then suddenly I thought about the ingredients I have used, they are so good for your skin, then this thought struck me why not make an amazing face mask out of these ingredients. And  there were two big red pimples on my face. So what did I do, I cleaned my hands and face (very important) and applied this paste on one of the pimples. And later that day, I noticed my pimple actually shrunk and is not painful anymore. Eureka!

After a few days, I tried this mask on my face, and I really loved it. Now let”s jump into the ingredient list . Also, don’t forget to check out the benefits of each ingredient on your skin, which I will be writing at the end of this post.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 tomato
  • 1 garlic glove (you can add two if you are okay with the sting)
  • 1/2 tbsp of chopped ginger
  • 1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves

How to prepare the mask

Nothing much, just take all the above-mentioned ingredients in a blender, blend it to form a paste.

How to apply the pimple treatment face mask

When you have spotted those nasty pimples rather than panicking about them, just make this face mask and apply a thin layer on that particular pimple, leave it on for some 10-20 minutes and then rinse it off. This mask is not only great for spot treatment, you can use it all over face and it gives amazing results. But as with any DIY or any kind of face masks, do a patch test. Slight stinging is alright as we have used garlic.

Benefits of the ingredients on skin

Garlic

Garlic as such can be used for spot treatment as it contains sulphur, which helps to prevent infections and reduce inflammations and also contains Allicin, which has anti-fungal, anti-aging and skin smoothing benefits. But if you are like me who can’t stand the stinging sensation of garlic, then you need to try something like this face mask. We use garlic because garlic

  • Help to get rid of stubborn acne.
  • Helps in removing blackheads.
  • Has anti-aging properties.
  • Helps to minimise pores.

Ginger

We have used ginger because it

  • Helps in treating blemishes and acne.
  • Has anti-aging benefits.
  • Helps in skin toning.
  • Gives radiant skin.

Coriander leaves

Coriander is great because it:

  • Acts as a natural antiseptic and anti-fungal agent.
  • Treatment of blackheads and acne.
  • Absorbs excess oil from your face.
  • Has anti-aging benefits.

Tomato

  • Perfect astringent.
  • Treats open pores.
  • Prevents signs of ageing.
  • Natural bleaching agent.
  • Remove dead skin cells and gives smooth and glowing skin.

One tip

One tip for better results is to pour this face mask into an icetray and freeze it. Once set take the ice cubes place it on the pimple/zits for a few seconds. Later rinse your face. You can also massage your entire using an ice cube, leave it for some 15 minutes and then rinse it off.

So that was one amazing face mask for pimple treatment. Let me know if you try it!

My review of the HudaBeauty Liquid Matte

thebeautymascot/hudabeauty liquid matte

First, let me share my experience trying to get the HudaBeauty Liquid Matt.  I had to go a few times to the Sephora where it was launched and had to struggle to get one for myself. When finally I passed the crowd around the HudaBeauty counter there were no trying or testing and just a few shades available. So I took Bombshell. Bombshell is a pretty nude peachy-pink shade and I absolutely love nude pinks.

thebeautymascot/hudabeauty liquid matte

Coming to the packaging, I really have to rave about the box in which it comes. I absolutely love the packaging, which has an image of Huda’s lips, so adorable. The real product comes in a sleek matte tube which is transparent, it definitely looks luxurious. I also love the doe foot applicator which makes applying the product really easy. Now the smell, it smells like cakes, vanilla to be exact. I really love the scent. If you have a sensitive nose, don’t worry the smell fades away once the liquid lipstick is dry.

I love the formula of the HudaBeauty liquid matte which is wet and runnier than most liquid lipsticks. Also unlike most or I think all liquid lipsticks, the HudaBeauty Liquid matte takes a little longer to dry. This is an advantage in disguise, you get more time to work with it. Have you had experiences when a liquid lipstick sets so quickly and you are not happy with the lip shape or you wish to build up the color and it ended up looking patchy?  Then this lipstick, my friend, is perfect for you! Brilliant formula. You can coat one layer after other, but absolutely no patchiness. But, there is still a but, when not set the liquid lipstick is tacky. Once set the tackiness is reduced but not completely.

thebeautymascot/hudabeauty liquid matte

The HudaBeauty liquid matte glides on really smoothly, feels like butter. The pigmentation is also superb, the shade bombshell which I used is a nude shade, but still is 99% opaque. One swipe is enough. It would be even better if you are using darker shades. The texture is so thin and lightweight. You hardly know you have any lipstick on your lips except when you get that slight tacky feeling, otherwise, the lipstick is so comfortable on the lips.

thebeautymascot/hudabeauty liquid matte

The Hudabeauty liquid matte claims to hydrate your lips. It contains some really hydrating ingredients like beeswax and olive oil. However, I am not sure it gives any extra hydration but it does not dry up your lips like most liquid lipsticks. I have used it with and without using lipliners and found that this liquid lipstick stays intact for a long time. I have had heavy meals, light meals, coffee but still the lipstick didn’t fade. It did fade a bit but completely negligible especially when I have used a lip liner. And when it fades, it fades evenly. The other great thing about this lipstick is that it does not transfer at all when set.

The Hudabeauty liquid lipstick comes in 16 different shades and the shades look different on different skin tones. As I have already mentioned I have Bombshell. I don’t know if you can spot, but the color becomes a bit darker when set. Just take a look at the images below.

Final verdict

banner

  • Great pigmentation and excellent coverage.
  • Brilliant formula.
  • So light and comfortable on lips.
  • Long wear quality.
  • Transfer proof.
  • Fades evenly.
  • Great color options.
  • Applies really well.
  • Does not leave your lips dry.

Not in love

  • Slight tackiness.
  • Availability might be an issue.

The Hudabeauty Liquid Matte is the best liquid lipstick I have used so far. If I completely neglect the slight tackiness then this is a perfect liquid lipstick. I give it 4.9/5, highly recommended!

Have you guys used the Hudabeauty liquid matte? Which is your favorite liquid lipstick?

NYX CREAM HIGHLIGHT AND CONTOUR PALETTE REVIEW

thebeautymascot/nyx cream highlight and contour palette review

Makeup trends come and go, but one trend which is always cool is the contouring trend and for a good reason. The best thing about contouring is that you can sculpt your face as you desire. If you think only expensive products can give you that Kardashian kind of contouring and sculpting then my friend you are wrong. There are some really awesome drugstore products that can give the same results. Talking about drugstore products, how can we not mention Nyx, Nyx is one of my favorite drugstore brands and most probably yours too! Nyx has recently come up with some really cool contouring products like the contour and highlight pro palette and wonder stick. Today I am going to talk about the latest addition to their contour line, the Nyx cream highlight and contour palette.

What I think of the Nyx cream highlight and contour palette

The Nyx cream highlight and contour palette comes in a black rectangular packaging, which definitely looks good. One side of the box is transparent which allows you to have a clear idea of the shades. The palette is available in three different shades, Light, Medium and Dark and you can choose the one that is best suited for your complexion. You already know right that you have to use one or shades darker than your skin tone for contouring and one or two shades lighter for highlighting. I am not sure if you can find your perfect shade out of the three available shades, but hopefully, you can. As far as I am concerned, Medium works for me so I chose Medium.

Each palette consists of three shades, a contour shade, a highlight which is matte and a shimmery highlight. The shades are brilliant. The texture is what you might have a problem with. The texture is soft but not really creamy or silky as they claim it to be, especially that of the matte highlight, which makes the product not so easy to blend, you can still blend though. But that is not really an issue, as we have already seen makeup queens using oils for even their Anastasia Beverly hills contour palette, so you can do the same here. I use argan oil, which already is a part of my skincare routine, you can choose any facial oils you are using. 3-4 drops will do. After adding oil, the problem of blending is solved as this thing then blends like a dream. The texture becomes so smooth and silky after adding oil.

Swatches without oil

thebeautymascot/nyx cream highlight and contour palette

Now speaking about the pigmentation, I feel that it is not highly pigmented but still great. You can always build it up if required. I don’t actually call it a con especially if you are new to contouring. If you are new to contouring, then there are chances of using more product and messing everything up. So this might be a boon for you as products like this work better for you. I also like the sheer contouring it does, looks natural and as I said you can build it up if you want it to be more dramatic.

thebeautymascot/nyx cream highlight and contour review

Coming more specific to my shade, Medium, I love all the three shades. The contour shade is a warm brown shade and gives a beautiful contour and perfectly blends in with my skin. It blends quite ok if you don’t add oil but it is better to because adding oil makes it easier to blend. The highlight shade is also great, conceals my dark circles and highlights the areas I want to be highlighted. But you really need to add oil to work with it otherwise, it might end up being chalky and  is difficult to blend. The third shade which is the shimmer  gives a beautiful glow to your cheekbones, cupid’s bow, bridge of your nose, inner corner of the eye and wherever you prefer. It gives a silverish glow which is ok but I’m not really very happy about it. The shimmery particles are so minute which is nice. You don’t really have to add oil to the shimmer, but the results are awesome if you do.

I normally set it with powders and advice you to do the same for best results. The contour stays intact for 8+hours which is great.

Overall verdict

The Nyx cream highlight and contour palette is a really good contour palette. The price is really affordable. The pigmentation is not very high but perfect for a natural looking contour. It is not really blendable when used as it is, but when mixed with oil blends like a dream. Overall I think this palette is great if you are looking for a decently priced contour palette and is perfect for beginners as it is really easy to useI give it a rating of 4.2/5 and I am sure you won’t be disappointed in the Nyx cream highlight and contour palette.
